The design of the Mangas collection required four years of research to find the tools and complex working method that allows these pieces to be woven from start to finish on a hand loom, despite their different textures, yarn types, weft orientations and widths. Using hand-knitted wool sweaters as an aesthetic reference, Patricia Urquiola sought to create a rug with a lot of volume and that could combine different textures with this collection. This resulted in not only a whole series of rounded contours, inspired by the pattern of a mango, but also a set of poufs with original shapes. (GAN Brand).

O design da coleção Mangas exigiu quatro anos de investigação para encontrar as ferramentas e o complexo método de trabalho que permite que estas peças sejam tecidas do início ao fim num tear manual, apesar das suas diferentes texturas, tipos de fios, orientações da trama e larguras. Usando camisolas de lã tricotadas à mão como referência estética, Patricia Urquiola procurou criar um tapete com muito volume e que pudesse combinar diferentes texturas com esta coleção. Daqui surgiu não só toda uma série de contornos arredondados, inspirados no padrão de uma manga, mas também um conjunto de pufes com formas originais. (Marca GAN).
